As there has been an uprise in the number of actively exploited vulnerabilities in the web portal software 'Liferay', this site was created to let people figure out if their website is built using 'Liferay' and to help them identify how safe and secure their website is.
Liferay is an enterprise grade software product suited for building webapplications that deal with many members (e.g. intranets, extranets, communities etc).
Liferay comes in two editions:
All editions come in multiple versions. The version of a Liferay, indicated by a version number, signifies the type of release, i.e. it indicates whether it’s a major, minor or maintenance release. Prior to Liferay DXP 7.4.13 and prior to Liferay CE 7.4.3 versions were organized in a straightforward numerical system consisting of a three digit number. For example, 7.2.1. These numbers represent the type of the release: 'Major.Minor.Maintenance'.
Recent versions of Liferay DXP use a versioning scheme 'Major.Minor.SubMinor update XX' where XX indicates the maintenance update, e.g. 'Liferay DXP 7.4.13 update 15' represents the 15th evolution of Liferay DXP 7.4.13.
Recent versions of Liferay CE use the versioning scheme 'Major.Minor.SubMinor.Maintenance', e.g. 'Liferay CE 7.4.3.12' represents the 12th maintenance release of Liferay CE 7.4.3.
